Covario Named Among the AlwaysOn Global 250 Top Private Companies

San Diego Firm Selected in the SaaS/Enterprise Category for Creating Tech Innovations

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 13, 2011) - Covario, Inc., one of the nation's largest independent providers of search marketing software solutions and agency services, was selected as a 2011 AlwaysOn Global 250 top private company.

Now in its tenth year, the AlwaysOn Global 250 award competition annually recognizes emerging U.S. growth companies that are creating new business opportunities in various global technology sectors, including the category in which Covario was recognized for SaaS (Software as a Solution) and the Enterprise.

This year there were more than 1,000 companies nominated for the Global 250. The companies were evaluated using a five-point criteria, encompassing innovation, market size/growth, customer adoption, media visibility, and stakeholder value creation.

In making the final award selections, the AlwaysOn team was assisted by its partners and advisors at KPMG, Morgan Stanley, Sheppard Mullin, SNR Denton and Hewlett Packard, among others. This is the second year that Covario has been named to the Global 250.

In addition to SaaS and the Enterprise, this year's winners came from the following sectors: Cloud and Infrastructure, Consumer Internet, Digital Media, Enabling Tools and Devices, Greentech, and Mobile.

Covario and the other AlwaysOn Global 250 companies will be honored at the AlwaysOn ninth annual Innovation Summit July 28 at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, Calif.

Russ Mann, chief executive of Covario, believes his firm was recognized by AlwaysOn for its breakthrough work in developing an intelligence platform for cross-media optimization for marketing leaders at large enterprise companies, in addition to its SaaS-based software solutions for both SEO (search engine optimization) and paid search (also known as PPC or pay per click advertising).
