Covergence Appoints Gregory Stott As CFO

MAYNARD, Mass.--(CCNMatthews - Jan 23, 2006) -

Covergence, the first company to deliver a unified security and management solution for applications and services based on the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), today announced that it has named Gregory W. Stott, as its chief financial officer. Greg brings nearly 20 years' experience working with a variety of both private and public technology companies, most recently serving as vice president, finance, administration & treasurer of Telica, Inc. As Covergence's CFO, Greg will lead all financial operations and develop and implement a long-term financial strategy.

Greg comes to Covergence from Telica, a leading provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communication systems for next-generation networks, where he was responsible for all financial operations in his role as vice president of finance, administration & treasurer. Greg was also a key member of the senior management team responsible for the sale of Telica to Lucent Technologies. Prior to Telica, Greg held senior management positions at Agile Networks (acquired by Lucent); Leaf Systems (acquired by Scitex); and Leading Edge Products. Greg began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Ernst & Young.
