"Cowboys & Aliens" Producer Platinum Studios to Debut Graphic Novel "Nightfall" on Graphicly

Comic to Be Available for iPad, iPhone, Android, and Tablets

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 31, 2011) - "Cowboys & Aliens" producer Platinum Studios, Inc. (OTCBB: PDOS), an entertainment company that controls over 5,000 comic book characters, announced today that it will debut "Nightfall" for the iPad, iPhone, Android phones and tablets via its licensee, Graphicly, starting June 15th. Graphicly is one of the web's premier destinations for digital comics with over one million app downloads and over one million monthly visitors.

"Nightfall" tells the story of David Paxton who is sent to a tough Texas prison which is secretly run by vampires. Paxton's only hope of survival is an uneasy alliance with a ruthless killer. "Nightfall" was created and written by Scott O. Brown with art by Ferran Xalabarder.

Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford star in the feature film version of Platinum's graphic novel "Cowboys & Aliens," directed by Jon Favreau ("Iron Man" Franchise), executive produced by Steven Spielberg and produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. DreamWorks and Universal Pictures will release the picture in North America on July 29, 2011 and Paramount Pictures will release internationally.

"Nightfall" is just one of the properties Platinum Studios controls among a multi-universe library of over 5,000 comic characters. While other large comics-based libraries are already spoken for, Platinum Studios remains independent of major entertainment studio affiliation. Marvel was acquired by Disney for $4 Billion, and is the second major comic library to be acquired by a Hollywood studio after DC Comics, which is owned by Warner Bros.

In addition to "Nightfall," Platinum Studios is developing "Unique" at Walt Disney Pictures with "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman producing alongside Platinum Studios CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, "Vice" with producer Andrew Lazar and Top Cow Productions, Inc., a feature film project at Sony Pictures Animation, and "Blood Nation" with producer Alexandra Milchan. In addition, Platinum is developing "MetaDocs" for TV with Syfy, FremantleMedia and Landscape Entertainment.
