CPAX Reveals Complete Buyer Ecosystem, Encompassing Leading Agencies, Managed Service DSPs and Self-Serve DSPs

Effort Provides Full Transparency into Who Has Access to CPAX Inventory

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 6, 2014) - Canada's Premium Audience Exchange (CPAX), the real-time bidding exchange service operated by eleven of Canada's leading media companies of premium digital content, today announced that it will publish its entire buyer ecosystem on its website. The effort is part of CPAX's longstanding commitment to providing transparency about who has access to its inventory including Media Agencies, Agency Trading Desks, Managed Service DSPs, and Self Serve DSPs.

An open ecosystem enables certified CPAX buyers, for the first time, to demonstrate to their marketer clients that they have access to CPAX's premium inventory. Brands can now benefit from having a transparent point of reference to confirm their access to CPAX's supply.

"Transparency is the leading principle for everything we do," said Dave Carsley, Senior Analyst, Programmatic Lead, Québecor Media. "It's clear that the buy and sell side of programmatic both win when there is transparency. We're hoping our openness will inspire others in digital advertising and publishing to do the same."

The CPAX buyer ecosystem is divided into three classifications: Agency Direct, Managed Service DSPs and Self-Serve DSPs.

"With the growing concerns about the lack of transparency surrounding programmatic, everyone wants to know that what they're paying for is legitimate," said Brad Jeffrey, Platform Services Manager, Index Exchange. "By revealing its buyer ecosystem, CPAX is taking a step in the right direction and building more trust with its clients."

CPAX is a real-time-bidding (RTB) exchange jointly developed by Canada's largest media owners that allows brands to programmatically buy premium digital inventory across more than one hundred Canadian outlets. CPAX is powered by Index Exchange, a neutral and transparent exchange layer that enables leading publishers to sell their ad impressions in real time.
