Education and Training
Dr. McKnight-Baron earned her undergraduate degree in biology, with a minor in Spanish, from Spelman College in Atlanta. She graduated cum laude. She went on to earn her summa cum laude medical degree from Meharry College in Nashville. She then went to Baylor College School of Medicine for her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency. While at Baylor, she learned microsurgery, cosmetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery during her studies at Ben Taub General Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, the Methodist Institute for Reconstructive Surgery, Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, and Texas Children's Hospital.

Dr. McKnight-Baron specializes in a variety of procedures, including facial rejuvenation, cosmetic breast surgery, body contouring, reshaping the body following massive weight loss or childbearing, and microsurgical DIEP flap breast reconstruction. She provides services to both men and women. She also speaks conversational Spanish, so is able to work with primarily Spanish-speaking patients.
Personal and Professional Accomplishments
Dr. McKnight-Baron has published numerous journal articles and presentations to professional societies on a variety of cosmetic surgery topics, including soft facial tissue injuries, pediatric patients, and ethnic cosmetic surgery.
Dr. McKnight is also uniquely qualified to work with breast cancer patients due to her own battle against lymphoma. She is well aware of how patients may be feeling once they get a cancer diagnosis, as well as their process through all stages of treatment, including chemotherapy and surgical options. Because of her own personal experiences as a patient, she can help each breast cancer patient select the best possible option to fit her unique needs. She has gone through chemotherapy herself, so she understands that each cancer patient is unique and deserves medical treatment that acknowledges this fact.
Dr. McKnight-Baron is a member of the Cobb County Medical Society, the Atlanta Medical Association, and the Sisters Network, which is uniquely targeted toward helping African-American women who are battling breast cancer.
She has hospital admitting privileges at Northside Hospital, Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, Wellstar Paulding Hospital, and Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital.
