Cream Minerals Initiates Phase 1 Work Program for Dos Hornos North and Once Bocas Zones, Mexico

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2006) - Cream Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:CMA) ("Cream") (TSX VENTURE:CMA)(OTCBB:CRMXF)(FWB:DFL) is pleased to report that, through its 100% owned Mexican subsidiary, Cream Minerals de Mexico S.A. de C.V., it has initiated phase 1 of the exploration program outlined in the NI 43-101 technical report prepared for Cream by F. Holcapek, P. Eng. The Program will be centered on the northern extension of the Dos Hornos and Once Bocas North Zones.

Initial work will consist of extending the soil grid 400 m north from Arroyo Guadalupana to a basalt layer, which covers the northern extension of the Dos Hornos and Once Bocas Zones.

Detailed work on the Dos Hornos North will commence to clean and channel-sample old Shafts 1, 4, 6, 7, and 10 and hand trench and evaluate four parallel quartz veins. If results are favourable, Cream proposes to lay out a follow-up diamond drill program to drill a fence across the 150 m zone of parallel quartz veins as well as to complete fill in drilling on Dos Hornos North Vein 1. The Company's objective is to upgrade the Inferred Mineral Resources as shown below.

In the Once Bocas Zone, the objective of the proposed work program is to extend the possible open pit Inferred Mineral Resource and to obtain additional sub-surface data by opening old shafts and Spanish trenches to the south. It is also planned to lay out a fill in diamond drill program based on new geological data accumulated during November and December 2005, with the objective of upgrading the Inferred Mineral Resource as shown below.
