Credit Union Central of British Columbia and Fincentric Corporation: Two Prominent B.C. Organizations Forge Canadian Alliance

Credit Union Central of British Columbia and Fincentric Integrate Solutions for Optimum Web Banking Solution

Credit Union Central of British Columbia (Central) and Fincentric Corporation announced a non-exclusive alliance today. The alliance will result in a direct technical interface between Central's web banking solutions, MemberDirect® Services, and Fincentric's core retail banking system, Wealthview Banking™-delivering an optimal, fully integrated online banking solution.

With a formal relationship in place, mutual credit union customers will benefit from a tighter integration between the two products. Credit unions will also be able to take advantage of those product enhancements sooner, improving operational efficiency while reducing the costs of migration from one version to the next.

In addition, customers will receive improved, transparent technical support services. "Central and Fincentric already work together in response to the needs of common clients, but in the absence of any formal relationship between the two parties, a credit union can find that it must act as a conduit for communication between our two organizations, which is often not the most efficient process," said David Sherwood, Central's Manager, Web Banking Services. "In making a commitment to work together on areas ranging from product development to operational support issues, the credit union is better served and both Central and Fincentric are able to respond faster."

As part of the agreement, Central and Fincentric will align development processes including integrated quality control environments, share information on product releases, and allow each other to take advantage of new product functionality.
