The intimately scaled setting of this recently renovated retreat offers a lively setting and convivial atmosphere. For foodies and oeniphiles, or those simply seeking a low-key dining option in the neighborhood, selections won't disappoint, and new picks occur monthly. A salad of grilled calamari tossed with chickpeas and spiced gazpacho ($12) makes for a light and refreshing choice paired this April with a Habrard Croze Hermitage Blanc from the northern Rhone region. This May choose from the Wild Mushroom Fondue ($12) or the Seared Ahi Tuna and Warm Couscous ($22) which is complimented with a peppery red from southern Rhone, produced by Bastide St. Dominique. While the lounge is a perfect stop off after a day of shopping on Rodeo Drive or for a quick fuel up before hitting West Hollywood for a night on the town, you may decide to stick around for the hotel's happy hour. Check into the hotel's facebook community 5:00pm - 11:00pm daily, and you'll receive a complimentary pour. The monthly menu picks from April to July (glass of wine included in the price):
