Crescent Street Promoter Rides Again in 2011, Expecting to Surpass One Million in Terms of Attendance

Brian Fogt, the man behind Montreal's top street festivals, announces schedule

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 4, 2011) - He has been at it for twelve years now and doesn't see why he should stop. Brian Fogt, president and owner of BBF Promotions and Events Inc. has been the man behind some of Montreal's most popular street festivals, namely the LG Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival and the Ford Racing Festival since 1999. And BBF is proud to announce that they are back in 2011 with three major events on Crescent Street.

Organized in collaboration with the Crescent Street merchants' association, three major events are being presented this summer. The LG Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival, June 9-11, and the Ford Racing Festival, August 18-20, are the two traditional events coming back to Montreal's most famous bar, restaurant and night life street. They take place the same weekends as Montreal hosts its two biggest motorsport events of the summer. The third event, the BRP Terrace Party on Crescent Street, July 12-16, is the new event on the 2011 calendar.

Held in conjunction with BRP's worldwide sales meeting and activities in Montreal, the BRP Terrace Party on Crescent Street will enable Montrealers to see, touch and test the amazing recreational products developed and manufactured by the Valcourt-based (QC) multinational company.

BBF events will draw approximately one million festival goers on the street –where attendance is free of charge, during those three events, making them a golden opportunity for sponsors. Over the years, BBF has managed to attract and secure top-tier sponsors such as LG, Honda, Labatt, Virgin Mobile, Ford and Sirius Satellite Radio, just to name a few. The business opportunities provided by the various sponsorship packages combined with the high traffic generated by the events, have made the various Crescent Street festivals one of the best place in the country to introduce and feature products through sampling and promotions. It is now a favorite among marketing and event promotion agencies.

Sponsors have come to appreciate and recognize the value generated by the events crafted by BBF President, Brian Fogt. His long standing relationships with Honda (8 years), Sirius (6 years), Ford (10 years) are just an example of the loyalty which the event commands.

"We have been blessed with great sponsors since day one, who believed in our product and who saw a direct benefit in contributing to reach their marketing objectives, commented Brian Fogt, President of BBF. Their continued support over the years has enabled us to grow and to deliver results for all our sponsors. Our events and their combination of displays, interactive features and entertainment make us one-of-kind on the Montreal scene".

As usual, all three events are anchored around a theme, openwheel racing, stockcar or recreational vehicles and supported by a strong music and entertainment component that gives the street soul and rhythm during the evenings. Previous events have featured the music of Karl Wolf, Bedouin Soundclash, Faber Drive and Hedley. Detailed entertainment programs are still being finalized for this year's events but will feature Canadian bands and cover bands of reputations including Fefe Dobson, Down with Webster, Sass Jordan and David Usher. Schedule of events for the LG Crescent Street Grand Prix Festival will be announced mid-May.
