Cross-Border Travel Tips

To facilitate your travels to and from Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) offers you the following tips:

- Plan your return to Canada and check border wait times on the CBSA Web site at: Border wait times are also available on Twitter.

- Have proper identification for yourself and children travelling with you.

- Declare all purchases made, have receipts readily available and declare all currency equal to or over $10,000.

- Know your personal exemptions and your alcohol and tobacco limits.

- Certain goods are prohibited or restricted from entering Canada. Find out more about this by consulting the I Declare brochure, available on our Web site.
