Crossroads Systems' Anyck Turgeon to Speak at Netbook Summit

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - May 17, 2010) -  Crossroads Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CRDS), a global provider of solutions to connect, protect, secure and restore data, today announced that Anyck Turgeon, Chief of Information Strategy and Security, is scheduled to speak on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 3:10 to 5:30 pm - Tutorial T2B at the Netbook Summit held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport.

Turgeon will deliver a session focusing on the top five security considerations for the latest trend in corporate storage cost reduction: the netbook. Alongside financial and higher mobility benefits, netbooks natively create higher potential for corporate data security and privacy challenges. Enterprise security architectures can no longer be isolated at the front-end, as the need for reliable data migration and more secure storage environments become a must.

She will also highlight that although many of the typical security issues for laptops and PCs are also applicable to netbooks, the introduction of the netbook creates real-time data protection requirements that organizations should address. Turgeon's session will discuss how to mitigate potential storage and security risks while gaining more control over today's most valuable enterprise asset: your enterprise and customer information.

The Netbook Summit provides attendees with practical information on understanding the role of netbooks, using netbooks effectively, developing software for netbooks, netbooks in education, and enhancing netbook performance. The two-day event is packed full of tutorials and in-depth sessions, including full-day tutorials on netbooks in the enterprise, networking netbooks and netbook security. Visit
