CrownPeak Appoints Scott Smith New VP of Sales

Smith, an accomplished sales executive, brings an extensive knowledge of video technology, B2C eCommerce, multi-tenant SaaS, enterprise software, and multi-channel sales. In his new position, Smith will guide the growth and development of the company's worldwide sales.

Over the last 12 months, Scott helped Ooyala grow its SaaS revenue over 200%, expanding into major enterprise companies like News Corp, Bloomberg, REI, Telegraph Media, and Virgin Media. Smith has also served as an executive in a number of venture backed technology companies such as Ooyala, MarketLive, Peopleclick and Convergent Communications. Smith's leadership added rapid growth to these companies, and in some cases resulting in successful fund raising, IPO's and acquisitions.
