Crushpad Now Produces 1 Out of Every 100 Wines Sold in the US

3,000 Unique Wines Created in Past 4 Years

NAPA, CA--(Marketwire - September 22, 2010) -  Crushpad announced today that it has crossed the 1% mark in US wine production by creating more than 1 out every 100 wines sold in the US. From its tiny San Francisco warehouse in 2004 to its current locations in Napa Valley and Bordeaux, Crushpad has enabled thousands of wine enthusiasts and over 150 commercial wine brands to make wine at the highest level, with numerous wines rated in the 90s by major wine critics. Crushpad now makes more unique wines than any other winery in the world.

Based on wine label filings with the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Crushpad has now created 3,247 wines, more wines than any other winery in the history of the wine industry. In 2010 alone, Crushpad has received approval for 737 out of a US total of 48,931 labels from the TTB. These are unique wines, not custom labels placed on generic bottles.

Wines created at Crushpad are "micro production" (25-100 cases) although the level of effort and steps in winemaking are identical to larger productions. Whether 25 cases or 250,000 cases, every wine has a style goal, a winemaking plan, one final blend and one package. Crushpad sources fruit from around 50 notable vineyards and its winemaking team works directly with clients to create wines that are expressions of the clients' personal goals. No two wines are the same.

Crushpad clients can participate as much or as little as they like in the winemaking process. Through its state-of-the-art facilities and massive investment in internet technology, Crushpad enables clients to effectively "remote control" winemaking wherever they live. Clients work hand-in-hand with Crushpad staff on every step of the process from harvest to blending to label design and bottling.

"I have been making wine with Crushpad since 2004, designing a new label concept each year," said Connecticut resident Michael Fedele. "I've made some phenomenal wines and it's been great to be able to make the big decisions and then leave the detail execution to Crushpad."

Of the 3000+ wines, some have been for personal projects as small as 25 cases and some for commercial projects for as large as 10,000 cases. A small sampling of the over 3,000 wines is available at:

Crushpad is currently accepting final reservations for harvest 2010.
