Three ViCCi units are now operational at the main entrances of Mill Woods Town Centre. The technology is designed to provide solutions to shrinking labor markets by empowering consumers to easily and quickly access customer service information in facilities such as shopping centres, transit systems and restaurants.

"As the labor market continues to shrink demographically, more and more companies will be looking at technology as a solution to offering high level, consistent customer service," Putters said. "ViCCi represents a significant step forward in providing this solution."

ViCCi, which stands for virtual customer care interface, is now installed in three shopping centres within Alberta, including Calgary and Edmonton. Together the units have seen more than one million interactions since being launched in 2006. Visionstate is now working on installing ViCCi units in public facilities in other major centres across Canada.
