CSM Systems Inc.: Company Revolutionizes Customer Care, Wayfinding

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 1, 2005) - Edmonton digital media company Visionstate, a division of CSM Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CKX), and Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. unveiled today at Southgate Centre a new, revolutionary customer service and way finding system called the Virtual Customer Care Interface (or ViCCi).

The first of its kind in the world, ViCCi is an interactive directory that uses high definition plasma screens, LCD touch screens and 3D technology to help consumers locate products, services, and stores. At the heart of the system is an animated virtual assistant that responds verbally at a touch to give directions, provide store descriptions, supply product information and even offer gift ideas.

Two ViCCi units are operational at the south and west entrances of Southgate Centre. The back of each unit features a narrowcast network that airs multimedia advertisements and real-time news, weather and sports. ViCCi includes a direct access line to mall security and staff and will eventually have the capability to print out maps, coupons and other written information desired by consumers.

"ViCCi represents the future of how consumers will access retail services and information that is important to them when making buying decisions," says John Putters, president of CSM Systems Inc. "Our goal is for ViCCi to answer 95% of the questions a consumer may have when they enter a shopping centre."

"I believe this new technology will revolutionize customer service and the overall experience people will have within shopping centres. Ivanhoe Cambridge via its Southgate Centre property is extremely pleased to be the first to introduce ViCCi to consumers," said Southgate Centre General Manager Paul Fairbridge.

Edmonton's Southgate Centre was chosen by Visionstate to showcase this new technology because of its unique blend of national, regional and independent stores and the more than 800,000 visitors it attracts each month.
