CSO Recognizes Security Innovation in Today's Evolving Digital Landscape With 2016 CSO50 Awards

Fifty Security Programs to Be Recognized at the CSO50 Conference + Awards

FRAMINGHAM, MA--(Marketwired - Nov 23, 2015) - IDG Enterprise's CSO -- the premier security media brand providing insight into business risk leadership -- is proud to recognize 50 organizations for developing and implementing security initiatives that drive business value, with the 2016 CSO50 Awards. To help security leaders and organizations in building security strategies, honorees will be sharing case studies of their winning projects at the CSO50 Conference + Awards, being held April 18-20, 2016, at The Wigwam Resort near Phoenix, Arizona. The conference will conclude with an awards ceremony, celebrating the CSO50 honoree organizations and their security leadership.

"Security professionals know that securing an organization is about much more than mere defense today; it's also about enabling business and driving ROI," said Joan Goodchild, editor in chief, CSO. "Our annual CSO50 Awards recognize the innovation, creativity and business acumen that goes into creating outstanding security projects. We congratulate each of our winners for their accomplishments in creating projects that not only demonstrate state-of-the-art security, but exemplary business value as well."

In addition to recognizing and hearing from the 2016 CSO50 Award honorees, the CSO50 Conference + Awards will focus on "Proactive Strategies for Today's Digital Landscape." Over three days, honorees and security leaders will lead keynote sessions and rapid-fire presentations providing a look into successes and challenges for keeping organizational assets secure and mitigating risk in an environment with significant oversight and input from senior leadership and the Board of Directors. During the sessions, speakers will share ideas, concepts and trends on topics like: detecting/addressing advanced threats; optimizing security intelligence; securing apps and endpoints; cloud security; secure IT infrastructures; and more.

"Security continues to be elevated in business strategy conversations, from the board to the CEO and throughout the organization. CSOs are leading the charge to protect their organization's assets while the organization innovates and continues to stay agile," said Bob Bragdon, vice president and publisher, CSO. "I am extremely impressed with the security innovation our honorees have demonstrated and their stories will encourage other organizations to grow and embrace innovation without sacrificing security."
