VAUDREUIL-SOULANGES, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 26, 2013) - Vaudreuil-Soulanges Community Television, Csur la Télé launches a new initiative this fall with its production of a public information 'Bilingual Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional Weekly' news and events program. Subscribers to Videotron and COGÉCO cable providers in the region can now watch one TV show that presents the current regional, local, and cultural content. "Thanks to the solidarity of several players in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, we have successfully launched the first segment of bilingual public information," said Csur la Télé President Anne Farrell. "We are grateful for the invaluable assistance of Collège Gerald Godin student interns in the Arts and Humanities program and the support of the Collège Bourget in Rigaud."
Several journalists and filmmakers from the region working on the weekly broadcast including 'Your Local Journal' editor Carmen Marie Fabio, directors André Desrochers and Eric Filiatreault, facilitators Robert Payant, Marty Lamarre, and Michel Thessereault, and producer Chantal Bédard .
Themes to watch in the coming weeks: Municipal elections meeting our candidates for the mayoralty seat of Rigaud, Saint-Lazare, Hudson, Vaudreuil-Dorion and St. Zotique, proposed construction on Highway 20, TransCanada pipeline project, as well as cultural and artistic festivals.
