CTC and Roundbox Partner to Deliver First Mobile IP Datacast Demonstration for the Japanese Market

Demonstration Showcases Real-Time Weather, News, Advertising, and Stock Prices at Expo Comm Wireless Japan 2007

TOKYO and FLORHAM PARK, NJ--(Marketwire - July 17, 2007) - ITOCHU Techno-Solutions Corp. (CTC), a leading total system solution provider, and Roundbox, Inc., a leader in mobile broadcast software, today announced they will conduct a live mobile IP datacast demonstration, customized for the Japanese market, during Expo Comm Wireless Japan 2007, July 18 - 20 in Tokyo, Japan. The application utilizes a FLO-based mobile broadcast network and Roundbox's IP datacast infrastructure to deliver robust, compelling multimedia services that transcend television.

"With this first public demonstration of IP datacast over FLO technology, we are able to demonstrate the visual and informational appeal of services that deliver multimedia in unique ways," said Junichi Maruta, general manager, Telecom Systems Planning Division at CTC. "By using the Roundbox Datacast Solution, we are able to rapidly develop and deploy IP datacast applications over a FLO-based network and help our operator partners take maximum advantage of this exciting new technology."

This collaborative effort highlights the value of IP datacast applications, which leverage the mobile broadcast network to cost-effectively push mobile digital content simultaneously to all broadcast-enabled subscribers and enable exciting, new services. This end-to-end application, called Active Wallpaper, delivers continuous real-time weather, news, advertising and stock data to a rich, graphical client. Accessing localized data, this application validates the power of datacasting to provide feature-rich services while providing operators bandwidth-efficient revenue opportunities. In addition to a customized screen to exemplify how operators can change colors, icons, background images and logos, the Active Wallpaper demonstration highlights the following features:

-- Weather - Current weather conditions and forecasts presented in both
    text and graphical formats
-- Real-time Current News - The latest news headlines and articles
    continuously updated
-- Stock Updates - Near real-time stock market quotes and index
    information

"Together we are demonstrating the potential of mobile broadcast technology to deliver more than basic TV," said Vasilis Polychronidis, vice president, business development at Roundbox. "Our award-winning datacast infrastructure coupled with CTC's long history of successful systems integration and carrier deployments will provide operators the best team to deliver revenue-generating mobile broadcast services."

The demonstration will run on MediaFLO-enabled handsets, which access the MediaFLO™ System. The MediaFLO™ System provides a comprehensive, end-to-end solution designed specifically to address the inherent challenges of efficiently and cost-effectively distributing mass volumes of high-quality mobile multimedia to wireless subscribers. Live demonstrations will run throughout the show at the QUALCOMM booth (Tokyo Big Sight International Exhibition Center, East Hall 2 & 3, Exhibit No.C-479, http://www8.ric.co.jp/expo/wj2007/en/index.html).
