LAKE BARRINGTON, IL--(Marketwired - Aug 9, 2013) -  CTI Industries Corporation (NASDAQ: CTIB), a manufacturer and marketer of home storage pouches and systems, foil balloons, latex balloons, novelty items and printed and laminated films, has been awarded the prestigious 2013 Innovation Gold Award in the Vacuum Sealers category. According to the International Housewares Association, which stages the annual trade show at Chicago's McCormick Place, there were over 400 product submissions this year. These products were trimmed to sixty-five finalists. The press corps and major retail buyers at the event voted for the winners in each category. CTI Industries branded vacuum sealer as the top performer in its category was lauded for its "...One-Touch vacuum and instant seal buttons, a Pulse button for delicate baked goods, and an easy clean vacuum chamber... the powerful motor is strong enough to crush cans."
