CUBED Tapped to Provide Design Vision for Zero Net Energy Center

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 4, 2013) - CUBED, LLC, a strategic team of leading-edge, renewable energy experts utilizing the best of breed technology, practices and products who provide customers with superior solutions, has been chosen by the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee of San Leandro to provide expertise for the design and development of the state-of-the-art, Zero Net Energy (ZNE) Center in San Leandro. CUBED has been tasked to provide the renewable energy vision for the creation of the building concepts, engineering designs, oversight of the subsidy/rebate programs, material procurement, and permitting. CUBED will also oversee the installation and commission of the entire renewable energy system of the ZNE Center.

The ZNE Center is a revolutionary undertaking that utilizes unique structures, environmental designs and technologies to dramatically lower a building's energy consumption by 75 percent, when compared to traditional commercial structures. The ZNE Center's renewable energy systems combine wind and solar (photovoltaic and thermal) generation and will produce enough energy to meet the energy consumed by the building. When energy produced equals energy consumed -- the result is a zero-net energy building.
