Cubic Announces $17 Million in U.S. Army Contracts for Logistics and Transportation Training at Fort Lee and Fort Eustis

HAMPTON, VA--(Marketwire - November 15, 2010) - The U.S. Army has awarded Cubic Applications, Inc., a mission support services subsidiary of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), a total of $17 million in contracts for logistics and transportation training at two Army installations in Virginia.

Cubic received recent awards to continue the company's current field, classroom, computer and hands-on training support to the U.S. Army Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCOE). The terms of the contracts vary from eight months to up to five years. Under these contracts, Cubic will deliver educational services to assist the Quartermaster School and the Army Logistics University, as well as analysis support for the SCOE at Fort Lee in meeting current operational requirements for logistics professionals. Cubic will also support convoy simulator training for the U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Eustis and the NCO Academy at Fort Lee. The new contracts for convoy training draw upon Cubic's experiences training students at the Sustainment Center of Excellence Transportation School at Fort Lee and operating convoy simulators at Fort Lee and Fort Eustis.

"The personnel, supplies, and services Cubic provides in these programs allows soldiers to train in a realistic environment, face situations similar to those encountered in the field, and train to a standard set of rules of engagement," said Joe Roszkowski, Program Director for Cubic's Operations Support Division in Prince George, Virginia. "Our objective is to standardize this training, yet still allow for the continual upgrade of scenarios and environments based on lessons learned and the adaptability of the enemy."
