Cubic Awarded U.S. Army Training Range Modernization Contract

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - November 30, 2010) - Cubic Defense Applications, the defense systems segment of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), has been awarded a new indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) to provide technical solutions for modernizing U.S. Army ranges worldwide. Cubic is one of multiple companies eligible to compete for a total of $400 million in U.S. Army training modernization business under the Common Army Ranges and Target Systems (CARTS) program. 

The ID/IQ term is one base year with four option years. Cubic has the capability to provide hardware, software, planning and design, applications and systems integration, prototyping, logistics, technical support and a multitude of devices, including target representation forms, sound devices, illumination devices, sensors and simulators. Cubic currently provides live ground combat training systems; virtual marksmanship, collective and judgmental trainers; and urban training instrumentation for both military and civilian security forces.
