Cubic Global Tracking Solutions Becomes Newest Member of the DASH7 Alliance

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - Cubic Global Tracking Solutions, a division of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced that it has joined the DASH7 Alliance, strengthening the company's role as an industry leader in global asset management solutions. The non-profit alliance was formed to advance the use of wireless sensor technologies by developing extensions to the ISO 18000-7 standard for active RFID, ensuring interoperability among devices, and educating the market about available technologies. DASH7 devices operate on a single global frequency and are interoperable "out of the box" regardless of application.

Global Sentinel™, Cubic's asset tracking, monitoring and security solution, is a flexible system that provides "infrastructure-free" services for government and commercial organizations. It is available in multiple configurations for any type of asset, including trucks, trailers, containers or pallets, and is globally deployed for dry and refrigerated containers, fleet management, and high-value assets. The company's sensors are capable of monitoring a wide variety of variables, including temperature, humidity, shock, acceleration, motion, light, and radiation.

According to Patrick Burns, President of the DASH7 Alliance, "Cubic's Global Sentinel offers a continuous monitoring and reporting capability that makes fixed infrastructure obsolete in rapidly changing environments like supply chains. For DASH7 end users, this means lower deployment and maintenance costs, but also an ability to improve a wide array of day-to-day supply chain operations."

Added Randall Shepard, Senior Vice President of Cubic GTS, "We have dedicated nearly 10 years to developing a truly innovative solution for our customers -- a wireless mesh network with redundant global two-way secure data transfer. We look forward to working with the other DASH7 members to achieve true interoperability so active RFID can reach its full market potential for continuous asset visibility and enhanced global logistics."
