Cubic Taps David W. Liddle as Communications Director

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - July 10, 2007) - Cubic Corporation (AMEX: CUB) today announced the appointment of David W. Liddle to the position of Director, Corporate Communications. Liddle, 42, will be responsible for managing development, implementation and administration of all aspects of Cubic's external and internal communications. The position reports directly to Raymond L. deKozan, senior group vice president and director of Cubic Corporation.

"David brings to Cubic a unique mix of skills, extensive experiences and demonstrated successes covering a broad range of issues," said deKozan. "We were impressed not only with his background, but also firsthand with his work over the last several years managing an organization and an issue of great importance to both our company and to manufacturers of transit supply products as a whole."

Before joining Cubic, Liddle was the principal of DWL Public & Government Affairs, a consultancy based in Washington, D.C. In that capacity he played a major role in the creation and operation of the U.S. Transit Suppliers Coalition, a group of 29 transit supplier companies (to include Cubic) whose mission is to strengthen and improve the federal Buy America statute as it relates to federally funded transit projects. Liddle designed and integrated the coalition's media and outreach activities, worked closely with the coalition's Washington representative on legislative strategy, and crafted and executed the comprehensive communications program that enabled the coalition members to realize their Buy America goals.

Prior to operating his own public relations consultancy, Liddle served as Director of Communications and Media Relations for the Financial Services Roundtable, the premier executive forum of the financial services industry; as a senior adviser with Dezenhall Resources, a leading crisis communications firm; an Account Supervisor in the Washington, D.C., office of public relations giant Hill & Knowlton; Senior Legislative Assistant and spokesperson for a subcommittee of the (then) Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives; and as Legislative Analyst for Northrop Grumman.

Born in Fort Riley, KS, Liddle earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Kentucky.
