Montreal's 2nd Annual Cupcake Camp Getting lots of Love from Montrealers

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2010) - Cupcake Camp Montreal 2010 presented by ARES accessoires de cuisine has moved to Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth to accommodate the over 18,000 cupcakes pledged by Montrealers!! With over 18,000 cupcakes, we also need a lot of people to eat the cupcakes, so mark your calendars - on Sunday November 21, 2010 from 1-5 p.m. a $10 ticket at the door gets you three cupcakes, a gourmet coffee and lots of fun, all while you help raise funds for La Tablée des Chefs and Kids Help Phone,

Montrealers are encouraged to bring all their friends and family to this kid-friendly event to support La Tablée des Chefs, a non-profit organization that involves chefs, cooks and confectioners on three levels: redistribution of culinary surplus from major events, meal preparation to support Quebec food banks and sharing culinary knowledge with the underprivileged and Kids Help Phone, Canada's only free, confidential and anonymous counselling and information service for kids and teens.

"Montreal is showing some serious love for Cupcake Camp Montreal 2010. Not only did we change to a new venue to host our 18,000 cupcakes, but ARES accessoires de cuisine has become our new title sponsor," explained Organizer Eva Blue."We also have some new judges on our panel and a cool new FREE iPhone app from Innobec Technologies that will keep cupcake fans up to date on the camp."

With all the cupcakes being donated the cupcake contest will be intense as preliminaries start in the morning before the doors open. At 1p.m. the contest finals begin with our distinguished panel of judges including: Chuck Hughes (Host of Chuck's Day Off, Food Network); Nadia G (Host of Bitchin Kitchen, Food Network); Ricardo Larrivée (Host of Ricardo & Friends, Food Network); Patrice Demers (Pastry Chef & partner Les 400 coups and host of Les Desserts de Patrice, Canal Vie); Alain Pignard (Executive Chef, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth); Bob le Chef (Author, Anarchist Chef); Todd van der Heyden (News Anchor, CTV); Lesley Chesterman (Food Critic, The Montreal Gazette); Michelle Marek (Pastry Chef, Laloux Restaurant); Nonna Maria (Entertainer). Celebrity MC's for the event include Anne-Marie Withenshaw (TV & radio personality) and Rebecca Makonnen (Host for Studio 12, Radio-Canada).

In an effort to be eco-friendly with 18,000 cupcakes, Cupcake Camp Montreal is encouraging everyone to bring their own containers to carry home their cupcakes, which can be a lot since additional cupcakes are available for a small donation. Bags and boxes are available for a small donation.
