CUPE 1004 reaches tentative agreement with City of Vancouver


VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 11, 2016) - CUPE 1004 has reached a tentative agreement with the City of Vancouver and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

"We're pleased to reach this agreement," said CUPE 1004 President Andrew Ledger. "On behalf of all CUPE 1004 members I'd like to recognize the hard work and commitment of our bargaining committee."

CUPE Local 1004 members will receive details of the tentative agreement on March 30 and a ratification vote will be held shortly afterwards.

Information about the tentative agreement will be released pending ratification.

Bargaining opened on December 18, 2015. CUPE 1004 represents 1,600 outside workers in the City of Vancouver who provide a wide variety of services to Vancouver residents including water, sewer, streets, sanitation, and parks and recreation services.
