CUPE Ontario warns against Hudak's agenda

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 8, 2011) - A Tim Hudak government would lead an assault on public services, health care and social justice, says CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn.

Hahn will bring his concerns to a St. Catharines media conference tomorrow, Friday, September 9. He will be joined by Cindy Forster, New Democratic Party candidate for Welland.

WHAT: Media conference on the Ontario election
WHO: Fred Hahn, President, CUPE Ontario
Cindy Forster, NDP Candidate for Welland
WHEN: Friday, September 9, at 12:00 PM
WHERE: CUPE Niagara Office, 110A Hannover Drive, Suite 101, St. Catharines

Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak has made it clear that a government under his leadership would further deregulate the economy and privatize public services.

CUPE Ontario is actively encouraging its members to support the NDP in the October 6 provincial election. In Welland, this means supporting Cindy Forster, a former mayor now serving as a regional councillor for the city.
