CUPP Computing to Demonstrate Mobile Security Engine Technology at MWC 15

BARCELONA, SPAIN--(Marketwired - March 01, 2015) - CUPP Computing will demonstrate its innovative Mobile Security Engine (MSE) technology at Mobile World Congress (MWC15) this week. The CUPP MSE technology is based on an independent, self-contained subsystem providing mobile security, data encryption, antimalware, intrusion prevention and detection, web reputation, and app behavior analysis for protection of BYOD mobile devices and critical corporate data from targeted attacks. CUPP also will demonstrate its cloud-based or customer-premises-based IT management server software which provides IT departments with highly granular control of BYOD security and constant data on device status.

CUPP's Mobile Security Engine solutions are designed to operate as independent systems, physically separated from the smartphone, tablet or point of sale system they protect. The CUPP MSE analyzes incoming traffic and blocks suspicious payloads before they can penetrate the mobile device or compromise other parts of the enterprise system. Because the CUPP MSE runs an independent, hardened OS, it is immune from typical attacks targeted at the smartphone host OS and processor.

The first product in CUPP's planned line of Mobile Security Engines, the Gatekeeper-mSD, is designed for Android smartphones and tablets. Packaged in a single microSD format card, the Gatekeeper-mSD is actually a sophisticated microcomputer with its own powerful processor, hardened and secure operating system, and encrypted flash memory. Upcoming CUPP MSE products are targeted for iPhones and iPads as well as Android devices without microSD slots.

The CUPP Gatekeeper-mSD Mobile Security Engine is slated to undergo rigorous testing at leading companies in the banking, accounting, consulting, industrial, and defense markets, early this year.
