Currie Rose Reports Second Drilling Program at Mabale Hills Tanzania

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 18, 2005) - Currie Rose Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CUI) will commence drilling immediately at the Mwamazengo gold discovery on the Mabale Hills project in central Tanzania.

The program is expected to consist of 1,400 metres of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling and 1,200 metres of RAB (Rotary Air Blast) drilling.

The RC drill holes will target the potential "down dip" mineralisation intersected during March 2005, where 4 RC drill holes intersected exceptional near surface gold mineralisation over a 225 metre strike length as tabled below. Extensions to the current strike will also be targeted.

The RAB drilling program will investigate the Sisu River anomaly situated 10km north northeast of the Mwamazengo discovery where rock chip samples collected by Sub-Sahara returned gold grades up to 553g/t gold. This anomaly is also 6km along strike from Gallery Gold's 550,000 ozs Kitongo gold deposit.

The Company and Australian joint venture partner Sub-Sahara Resources NL are optimistic that this program will yield further quality results, priming the project for further drilling later in the year.

2. As there is insufficient data to calculated true widths, drill intercept lengths only are reported.

3. A Quality Assurance/Quality Control program is part of the drilling program on the Mabale Hills Project. This program includes chain of custody protocol as well as systematic submittals of standards, duplicates and blank samples into the flow of samples produced by the drilling.

4. A description of the geology, sampling procedures, and the Company's laboratory Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures are as described in the Company's National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report filed on March 21, 2005. This report is available at
