Currie Rose Resources Inc.: Drilling Commences at the Mabale Hills Project, Tanzania

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 11, 2007) - Currie Rose Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CUI) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced at the Mwamazengo gold discovery on the Mabale Hills project in central Tanzania.

The program is expected to consist of approximately 1,000 metres of Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling, 3,500 metres of RAB (Rotary Air Blast) drilling and 560 metres of diamond drilling. Ground conditions may change to total number of metres drilled.

The RC drilling and the diamond drilling will target the potential "down dip" mineralization intersected at the Mwamazengo discovery during 2005, where 4 RC drill holes intersected near surface gold mineralization over a 225 metre strike length. See Mabale Hills Second Drill Map at

The RAB program will drill a number of geochemical anomalies that resulted from recently generated trenching and coincident previously generated geophysical targets.

The results will be announced over the coming weeks.
