ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 2, 2007) - Currie Rose Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CUI) is pleased to announce that the results from the first two (2) reverse circulation drill holes at the Mwamazengo gold discovery have further confirmed the gold potential discovered during 2005.

- Drill hole MBNR021 returned a single intercept of 15metres grading 4.7g/t gold from 18 metres (including 3 metres grading 9.65g/t gold) and,

- Drill hole MBNR022 returned 3 separate intercepts:

-- 5 metres grading 1.22g/t gold from 9 metres

-- 6 metres grading 1.46g/t gold from 31 metres and

-- 6 metres grading 2.09g/t gold from 63 metres

Both drill holes tested the "up-dip" potential of the Mwamazengo zone and have confirmed the mineralization. See Mabale Hills Second Drill Map at

Reverse circulation pre-collars with diamond drill tails are in progress and further results will be announced over the coming weeks.
