Currie Rose Resources Inc.: Mwamazengo Gold Prospect in Tanzania Extended to Depth

ST. CATHARINES, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 4, 2007) - Currie Rose Resources (TSX VENTURE:CUI) -

Highlights

- MBNR-D037 - 4 metres grading 7.46g/t gold from 192 metres at Mwamazengo

- MBNR-043 - 9 metres grading 1.99g/t gold from 0 metres at Mwamazengo

- MBNR-D046 - 3 metres grading 6.77g/t gold from 227 metres at Mwamazengo

- MBNR-D047 - 5 metres grading 3.89g/t gold from 155 metres at Mwamazengo

Currie Rose Resources (TSX VENTURE:CUI) advises that the recent phase of drilling on the Mabale Hills project in Tanzania Africa, which forms part of the Lake Victoria Joint Venture with Australian-listed Sub-Sahara Resources NL (ASX:SBS), has been completed and all assay results have been returned. (See map on website, www.currierose.com).

The drill programme, totaling 14 holes for 2,125.5m, was designed to test up and down dip extensions to the known mineralisation (MBNRD037, 045, 046, 047, 048 and MBNR042, 043, 044) and was successful in extending the vertical depth of gold mineralisation to over 200m.

Some drill holes were also designed to test for a possible northeast (MBNR038, 039 and 050) and southerly strike extension (MBNR040, 041 and 049) to the gold mineralisation. Only minor mineralisation was intercepted in holes MBNR038, 039 and 040. The southern traverse of drill holes was not considered definitive as hole MBNR049 failed to reach depth due to drill rig failure and the mineralisation is thought to be plunging in this direction. The current strike extent of known gold mineralisation is 320m.

A geophysical programme of Induced Potential (IP)/Resistivity is underway at Mabale Hills to help identify new zones for drill testing and to assist with the interpretation of strike extensions to the areas of known gold mineralisation at Mwamazengo and Dhahabu Prospects. Management is encouraged by these results as they extended the known gold mineralisation.

Significant gold assay results, that complete reporting for the latest drilling at Mwamazengo, are given in Table 1 below:

Harold Smith, President

Notes:

1. All Assay values are uncut.

2. As there is insufficient data to calculated true widths, drill intercept lengths only are reported.

3. A Quality Assurance/Quality Control program is part of the drilling program on the Mabale Hills Project. This program includes chain of custody protocol as well as systematic submittals of standards, duplicates and blank samples into the flow of samples produced by the drilling.

4. A description of the geology, sampling procedures, and the Company's laboratory Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures are as described in the Company's National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report filed on March 21, 2005. This report is available at www.sedar.com.

5. Samples are prepared and analysed at Humac Laboratories - Mwanza, Tanzania.

6. The Qualified Person for the release of this exploration information is Michael Griffiths AusIMM, Director of Currie Rose Resources Inc. and Managing Director of Sub-Sahara Resources NL.
