Curriki Named SIIA Education CODiE Award Finalist for Best Source for Reference or Education Resources

Curriki Earns Prestigious Education Industry Recognition

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - April 13, 2016) -  Curriki, the leading K-12 global community for creating, sharing, and finding Open Educational Resources (OER), today announced that Curriki Open Educational Resource Library was named a finalist for the 2016 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Best Source for Reference or Education Resources category. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier awards for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years. The awards offer 91 categories that are organized by industry focus of education technology and business technology.

Curriki was named as one of the 160 finalists across 29 education technology categories.

Winners will be announced during a virtual award ceremony on May 18. The top honor of best overall educational product will be presented at Education Industry Symposium, the nation's leading education technology conference, in Denver July 26. The announcement will take place during a special celebration party and dinner. 

Curriki, a non-profit organization, hosts a free library of 83,000+ educator-vetted learning materials in all K-12 subject areas and in many formats -- from individual lesson plans, instructional videos and units, to games and simulations. All content contributed by educators and select partners is available to others for use, adapt and share at no cost. In addition, Curriki curates resources into course-sequenced, standards-aligned units making it easier for educators to find the materials they need when they need them.
