Custom Mechanical Systems Announces Channel Deal With NER Data Products

CMS Offers Innovative Cooling Solutions Nationwide Through NER's Network of Resellers

MILPITAS, CA and NASHVILLE, TN--(Marketwire - March 9, 2010) -  Custom Mechanical Systems (CMS), a leading provider of custom cooling/HVAC solutions for mission-critical facilities, including data centers, laboratories, cleanrooms and hospitals, announced today that it has entered into a partnership agreement with NER Data Products, a leading manufacturer and provider of technology solutions. Under the agreement, announced today at AFCOM's Data Center World Conference in Nashville, TN, NER Data Products will distribute CMS' innovative data center cooling systems to selected resellers across the country.

"This agreement will make CMS products previously marketed primarily throughout Silicon Valley and California available on a much broader basis, allowing data centers nationwide access to these advanced energy-saving products which have seen wide acceptance by California-based users," said Dan Hyman, Founder and Principal at CMS. "Our products -- deployed by leading worldwide data centers including Brocade and Equinix -- have the ability to save large amounts of energy and money and we are confident in NER and their reseller partner's ability to carry this message to a broad group of end user data center owners and operators."

Cooling can consume half of the total energy used by a data center, and legacy cooling systems and "CRAC" units are incredibly inefficient and outdated; by using state-of-the-art modeling and design, CMS' latest airflow technology offers the ability to reduce energy by 35-50% and lower maintenance and costs.

"We have enjoyed tremendous success in improving airflow distribution," said Greg Stover, Senior Vice President at NER. "By coupling our innovative solutions with these new High Efficiency Mechanical Cooling Solutions from CMS we are now able to optimize Data Center Cooling efficiency to previously unseen levels. "

For more information on the agreement, visit NER Data Products at the Data Center World Expo in booth #327.

Availability and pricing
CMS cooling systems are available immediately and pricing depends on the custom needs of each data center. Pricing will be equal to or lower than traditional suppliers because CMS' custom philosophy: the customer only pays for the features they will actually use.
