Cute Is What We Aim for Targets 2007 for Major Tour: Power-Pop Sensation Unveils Debut Headlining Trek, Followed by Co-Headlining Stint on Alternative Press' First-Ever "The Bands You Need To

Know Tour"; Non-Stop Schedule Starts Valentine's Day in Albany, NY

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 10, 2007 -- Fueled By Ramen recording group Cute Is What We Aim For has revealed a non-stop tour itinerary for the first part of the New Year, including their first-ever headlining U.S. tour. In addition, the Buffalo, New York-based quartet -- whose acclaimed debut album, "THE SAME OLD BLOOD RUSH WITH A NEW TOUCH," entered the record books last summer as the debut with the biggest first week sales in the 10-year history of the Fueled By Ramen label -- will co-headline Alternative Press magazine's much-anticipated "Bands You Need To Know" tour.

The first series of dates finds the ebullient power-pop foursome topping a multi-band bill that kicks off on February 14th, at, appropriately enough, Valentines in Albany, NY (see itinerary below). The month-long schedule will then traverse the nation, culminating in a March 14th tour finale at Tulsa, Oklahoma's Cain's Ballroom. All shows will see CIWWAF supported by FBR labelmates This Providence and Maryland-based pop-rockers All Time Low.

Next, Cute Is What We Aim For will team up with highly praised new prog-punk outfit Circa Survive for AP's "Bands You Need To Know" tour, with dates beginning March 16th at Houston's Meridian. The six-week itinerary -- presented by Alternative Press and Rockstar Energy Drink -- coincides with the publication's annual "100 Bands You Need To Know" issue. Support on all dates will come from NYC-based indie upstarts As Tall As Lions and post-hardcore newcomers Envy On The Coast.

The relentless tour schedule heralds the arrival of CIWWAF's latest single, "The Curse of Curves." The verbally gymnastic track is set to impact radio in late February. In addition, a video -- directed by Lex Halaby (known for helming Cobra Starship's "Snakes On A Plane (Bring It)," as well as clips from Killswitch Engage, Hoobastank, and mewithoutYou) -- is currently in post-production.

At the moment, Cute Is What We Aim For is getting ready to head across the Atlantic, where they'll commence 2007 with a series of highly anticipated SOLD-OUT UK dates. The tour will hit 10 cities in two weeks, with shows slated for London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, and others.

Cute Is What We Aim For was the undisputed power-pop commotion of 2006. The band was named one of Rolling Stone's "10 Artists to Watch," and was included on Blender's annual "Hot 100" ranking. In addition, CIWWAF was selected as one of AOL® Music's Breakers, marking them as among today's most innovative and promising new groups.

Other major media appearances include a three-page profile in Alternative Press, where the band was also ranked in the mag's "21 & Under" listing. CIWWAF was the recipient of SPIN.com's "Band of the Day" honors, and have been featured on an installment of MTV's influential You Hear It First!.

"THE SAME OLD BLOOD RUSH WITH A NEW TOUCH" was released last July to full-blown critical celebration. "The epitome of emo circa 2006," raved the New York Times' Kelefa Sanneh, "fizzy, clever, self-aware, slightly obnoxious...(The) album is wildly self-reflexive, full of lyrics poking fun at emo conventions...These songs are tightly packed with twists and turns and -- yes -- singalongs...Cute Is What We Aim For has released the emo album of the summer."

"The best thing since Fall Out Boy," declared Alternative Press. "Cute obviously understands the importance of gold-gilded hooks...soundtrack music for the world's most perfect summer crush."

Online, the band has seen its faithful fan following continuing to swell via such outlets as PureVolume, LiveJournal, and MySpace, with cumulative streams now approaching a stunning 10 million.

The band has toured with a vengeance since the release of "THE SAME OLD BLOOD RUSH WITH A NEW TOUCH," including shows alongside fellow FBR artists Paramore and Cobra Starship, as well as such like-minded acts as Hellogoodbye, Anberlin, and Spitafield. CIWWAF also made show-stopping appearances at 2006's Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left festivals.

Cute Is What We Aim For is: singer Shaant, guitarist Jeff Czum, bassist Jack Marin, and drummer Tom Falcone.
