Cyan Announces Name Change

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 31, 2012) - Cyan announced today that it has finalized the process of changing its legal name to "Cyan" from "Cyan Optics."

"This name change reflects Cyan's ongoing focus on delivering a family of innovative packet-optical transport solutions with a broadening range of software and software-as-a-service (SaaS) systems, and comprehensive professional services," says Frank Wiener, Cyan's vice president of marketing.

"Cyan continues to offer our customers transformational solutions that enable them to more cost-effectively scale network capacity, innovate services, and delight customers with improved operations," Wiener continued. "Our highly scalable Cyan Z-Series packet-optical transport platforms support a diverse range of historic and rapidly evolving packet, TDM and wavelength services over metro and regional networks globally. The Z-Series platforms and a growing number of third-party vendor products are now supported by Cyan 360, our market leading software and SaaS systems that render complex networks simple and intuitive to plan, manage and verify. In addition, our world-class Cyan PRO customer services make it easier and more cost-effective than ever for our customers to roll out these new solutions and achieve the broader potential of transformation. Our name change reflects our complete business."

The change is effective immediately, and all future business activity will be undertaken with the new name.
