Boustridge Brings Global View of IT Services and Telecom Markets to Innovator of Software-Defined Metro Networking Systems

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - Cyan today announced that Michael Boustridge, former president of the Americas region for BT Global Services, has joined the company's board of directors. Boustridge, a board member for several leading technology, services, and consultancy companies, brings to Cyan a proven track record for delivering operational results and a deep knowledge of the international service provider market.

"As Cyan experiences tremendous traction across its customer base, continued expansion of its international business is the next logical step in the company's growth trajectory," said Boustridge. "Global operators are looking for solutions like Cyan's that will help them scale and manage their capacity while keeping costs in line. I look forward to helping guide the company's growing global success."

"International expansion has been one of our top priorities," said Mark Floyd, Cyan's CEO and chairman. "In the past few months, we've hired a vice president to head our EMEA business, expanded our presence in Europe, and started winning customers in APAC and Latin America. Having Michael on our board of directors will add to our understanding of these markets and their needs, and help accelerate market acceptance of our solutions."

Boustridge serves on the boards of Contact Solutions LLC, which provides on-demand contact automation services; Riverbed Technology, Inc., which improves the performance of network and networked applications; Ciber, an international system integration consultancy; and Presidio, an IT managed solutions and services company. He is also on the advisory boards of Any Presence, Inc., and SAP North America, and is a member of the board of trustees for X PRIZE Foundation, whose goal is to bring about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.

As president of BT Americas, Boustridge was responsible for all aspects of BT's operations and performance in the U.S. and Canada. He also managed BT Professional Services and BT Global Financial Services, and played a coordinating role within BT's Asia Pacific region. Prior to BT, Boustridge held executive positions at EDS, Hitachi Data Systems and IBM.
