Cyan to Speak at COMPTEL PLUS, FTTH Conference & Expo and Backhaul and Core Convergence Strategies for Mobile Operators Summit at 4G World

Executives Will Discuss Operator Strategies for Increasing Profitability and Deploying Packet Optical Technologies for FTTH and 4G Networks

PETALUMA, CA--(Marketwire - September 7, 2010) -  Cyan today announced that company representatives will be presenting at COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2010, 2010 FTTH Conference & Expo and Light Reading's Backhaul and Core Convergence Strategies for Mobile Operators Summit at 4G World this fall. At COMPTEL PLUS, Cyan will share firsthand accounts of customers' business strategies for reaching profitability, while at FTTH Conference & Expo, Cyan will share new insights for more profitably scaling FTTH network capacity. In addition, at 4G World, executives will provide insight into leveraging packet optical technologies for mobile backhaul deployments.

Operators today are being challenged to reduce both network CapEx and OpEx in dramatic fashion, while at the same time bringing in more revenue. Cyan's co-founder and vice president of sales, Eric Clelland will address these challenges on the COMPTEL PLUS panel titled "Achieving Profitability: How to Increase Your Bottom Line through Cost Reduction, Sales Management and New Products." Eric will highlight methods for cutting network expenditures through stronger planning and management tools, as well as how to make more efficient use of router ports with new solutions.

At 2010 FTTH Conference & Expo, Cyan's marketing consultant Rob Koslowsky will discuss concepts for "Exploiting New Opportunities for More Scalable, More Profitable Networks." This presentation will specifically address the question of "how much capacity is enough" and the opportunity for fiber to the home enabled broadband access networks to facilitate new services with new packet-optical transport technologies.

At 4G World, Cyan's vice president of marketing and market development Frank Wiener, will cover how packet optical networking can optimize mobile backhaul deployments in the "Packet Optical Transport for 4G Networks" panel. With an established ecosystem of mobile backhaul partners, Frank will showcase how packet optical technologies are best suited for the capacity demands needed for the future widespread deployment of LTE, while still supporting legacy TDM services.
