CyberLightning Joins Global Consortium Driving Implementation of Industrial Internet

ESPOO, FINLAND--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2015) - CyberLightning Ltd. today announced that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium, the collaborative organization that is facilitating development of a global ecosystem for the emerging Internet of Everything.

CyberLightning is the developer of the CyberVille® software platform, a strategic tool to control complex sensor and machine networks in the context of the real world where they are deployed. CyberVille provides a multilayered 3D view of industrial internet systems that combines models and geospatial data with inputs from multiple sensor and control networks. System status can be viewed and managed from both mobile devices and control rooms with intuitive point-and-click controls.

"IIC members share a view of the complexity of the industrial Internet and the requirements for an open technology approach to building effective systems," said Dr. Richard Soley, executive director, Industrial Internet Consortium. "CyberLightning clearly took this approach in defining its software platform, and we look forward to the company's contributions to the Consortium."

"The broad-based membership of IIC illustrates both the challenge and opportunity of the industrial Internet," said Ville Mickelsson, CEO of Cyberlightning. "Success in the enormous task of accommodating legacy systems, integrating a host of new technologies and ultimately defining systems that can scale from local to global implementations requires a level of collaboration across organizational and regional borders that the IIC is designed to support."
