DETAILS:
Recently President Obama declared cybersecurity "one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation." It's a major concern as security breaches are not only increasing but are becoming more damaging. And that has created a growing need for technologically skilled people to work in the cybersecurity sector.

CyberForce2014 aims to bring together top business and government leaders to discuss the issue, share ideas and try and find answers to this growing problem. The summit will address:

  • The scope of cybersecurity threats
  • The human capital challenge
  • Personnel standards for cybersecurity competency
  • Attracting a skilled labor pool
  • Potential education reforms

Speakers will include Robin "Montana" Williams, director of the Department of Homeland Security's National Cybersecurity Education and Awareness Office and a leader in the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies. Also on hand will be Mark Harvard, senior vice president at TMP Government, which specializes in job outreach and recruitment in the federal sector and is a co-sponsor of the event.

A panel discussion will be moderated by Evan Lesser, managing director of ClearanceJobs, to bring together the insights of the event's participants.

The CyberForce2014 Summit is sponsored by TMP Government and Dice. Attendance at the event is complimentary to qualified registrants; however, space is limited.
