Cybersecurity on Infinite Group, Inc.'s Radar With New Hire

ROCHESTER, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 12, 2014) - Infinite Group, Inc. (OTCQB: IMCI), a premier information technology and support supplier, acknowledges that cybersecurity is a growing concern for American businesses. As reported in USA Today this past week, "The threat from hackers for hire, state-sponsored cyber intrusions and organized cyber syndicates is so dire that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper lists cybersecurity as the greatest global threat, edging out terrorism and weapons of mass destruction."

Over the past three years, IMCI has offered advanced security solutions to government and commercial customers that include vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, risk remediation, phased implementation, education, and training services, and the Company today announced the appointment of Frank McIntire, a cybersecurity expert, as vice president of sales. McIntire will focus on supporting and expanding IMCI's CyberSecurity line of business.

"Part of Infinite Group's strategy is to pursue important, high-growth market segments, add product and consulting options into our mix of information technology solutions, and find experts to grow that part of our business," said Jim Villa, president and CEO of Infinite Group. "Frank McIntire is the perfect choice to lead IMCI forward in the field of cybersecurity."

According to Gartner, "The amount of data required for information security to effectively detect advanced attacks and, at the same time, support new business initiatives, will grow rapidly over the next five years." Infinite Group is positioned to capitalize on this vital and growing industry.

McIntire is tasked with increasing IMCI's customer base in the federal government, state and local governments, commercial accounts, and small- and medium-sized businesses. He will also develop relationships with current and new technology partners, and bring the latest best practices in cybersecurity to Infinite Group's customers.

In previous positions, McIntire led U.S. and global operations for Air Force and Pentagon programs, and supported Air University, Air Force Space Command, and the Air Force Academy. He also directed IT operations for KPMG Consulting and Oracle Corp., supporting DoD and the U.S. Intelligence community and commercial clients, and led engineering changes and upgrades for the largest Alaska Native Corporations, high-profile DoD and Intelligence Community clients, and small- and medium-sized businesses. McIntire is a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate with a bachelor of science in social studies, and a master of science in human development counseling from Vanderbilt University.
