CyberSponse Security Operations Platform v3.1 Released

Key Advances Featured in the v3.1 Release: Redesigned/Expanded Incident Wizard, Workflow Upgrades and Integration With Elasticsearch

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - May 19, 2015) - CyberSponse, a leader in cybersecurity management and incident response software technology, announces the release of version 3.1 of the CyberSponse Security Operations Platform (CSOP). CSOP is a scalable and innovative software platform that empowers operations and incident response teams to proactively identify and neutralize cybersecurity threats quickly. CSOP v3.1 contains several new features which add depth to the platform. Integration with Elasticsearch, a redesigned and expanded Incident Wizard, and new workflow decision options add value for both new and existing customers. "It is our mission to lead the incident response automation space and continue to innovate," said CyberSponse CEO Joseph Loomis. "Cybersecurity and Operations teams face exponential increases in the threat landscape, and the proper defense of corporate networks demands technology innovation for faster response and remediation."

Incident Wizard was first released in CSOP in 2014, but the new and expanded Incident Wizard interface makes creating a quick and complete incident record even easier. By answering standard questions aligned to any one of 7 common threats like DDoS, Malware, and Unauthorized Access, a policy-compliant incident, complete with phase-specific tasks, related events, and associated assets, is ready in seconds. The Incident Wizard can also be customized to fit the needs of any team or group.

Workflow is one of the key components within CSOP, and v3.1 introduces numerous upgrades. Workflow triggers and decision options have been expanded with multiple new filter operators. The new operators are contained within a re-designed User Interface (UI) which emphasizes simplicity. Adding, editing, and reprioritizing routes has never been easier. Inside the Workflow Designer, users will also notice cleaner design elements when creating and visualizing workflows.

As previously announced, integrating Elasticsearch into CSOP solves several challenges for security teams. Many industries and large corporations still transmit and store sensitive reports in various document-based formats. These reports are rich in operational and threat data, but searching these documents in the context of ongoing security operations is often an insurmountable challenge. By using Elasticsearch to manage and index documents of virtually any format, the previously trapped data can now be analyzed, referenced, or added to events and incidents being worked within CSOP.
