Cymtec Opens Asia Pacific Sales Office to Support Demand for Leading Network Visibility and Optimization Solutions

Distribution Partnership With Transition Systems Fuels Growth Efforts in Region

ST. LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - January 17, 2011) - Cymtec Systems, a leading provider of products that help companies optimize network performance and fulfill the rigorous audit and compliance standards imposed on organizations, today announced a new distribution partnership with Transition Systems, a leading distributor of networking products in the Asia Pacific region. Coupled with this agreement, Cymtec has opened an office in Singapore to manage sales and provide support services.

The company has hired Lawrence Yee in the role of Director of Sales, Asia Pacific region, to lead the Asia Pacific headquarters. Yee brings more than a decade of information technology and enterprise networking experience to Cymtec. He joins the company from Packet Design, where he also managed sales activities in the Asia Pacific region, and his extensive background in application visibility and management comes as a result of former positions held at Packeteer and Netscout. 

The Asia Pacific presence will enable Cymtec to meet the area's growing market demand for network optimization and security solutions, specifically within the remote branch office environment. The company's partnership with Transition Systems enables the company to expand their reach within the Asia Pacific region to major business hubs including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Australia, Taiwan and Indonesia. 

Transition Systems will now offer its current and prospective clients Cymtec's flagship product, Cymtec Sentry, the only product in the market that is specifically designed, architected and priced for the remote branch office environment. Combining functionality that brings together visibility, enforcement, bandwidth shaping and containment of threats, Cymtec Sentry delivers all of the tools necessary to better manage, remotely troubleshoot and optimize the remote/branch office network on one platform.
