SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2008) - Building on a strong foundation of development and delivery of online video and interactive media experiences, Cypress Consulting announced today its role in the launch of PBS's new PBS KIDS GO! ( online video player, funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). Cypress Consulting (, a business consulting, technology and creative services firm, was selected by PBS to develop the video infrastructure and player to support the delivery of its new PBS KIDS GO! Web site, allowing kids to watch their favorite clips and selected episodes in one location.

"We've already rolled out hundreds of hours of video on and are confident that the new PBS KIDS GO! video player will be a tremendous hit with early elementary school-aged audiences across the country," said Jason Seiken, PBS Sr. VP, Interactive. "Cypress Consulting was instrumental in helping us bring this offering to life."

Cypress Consulting was selected by PBS to help the organization define the PBS KIDS GO! online feature sets, including community and multi-lingual support for Spanish content, and to build a video player that integrated PBS's existing creative designs for a consistent look and feel. Cypress incorporated the new video players into PBS's video content management software from thePlatform and utilized overlay technology to deliver additional value-added content such as the ability to browse shows by themes or subjects of interest, access associated games, and receive content in closed captioning. "The ongoing trend of companies putting unique, interactive content online continues to drive audiences of all ages to the Internet to get the programming they love and personalized experiences they desire," said Nate Thompson, CEO of Cypress Consulting. "PBS has created a unique experience for its growing audience of children that use the Internet to access favorite shows, learn, play games, and be entertained in an environment that was specifically designed for them."

Cypress Consulting has a solid foundation of related experience with other significant media brands, including working with CBS to develop a new family of video players for CBS-owned websites as well as third-party content syndication partners. The company was integral in TruTV's development of its main video player interface and integration with social media sites including Facebook.
