D-Link Grants Tech Data Open Letter of Supply

Tech Data U.S. to Offer D-Link TAA Products to State and Federal Resellers

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2008) - D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumer and business, today announced it has issued an open Letter of Supply to Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) to sell its Trade Agreement Act (TAA)-compliant products to government resellers who will offer the products on their U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.

The five-year contract will provide approved government resellers with the ability to purchase D-Link products through Tech Data. This will allow Tech Data's government reseller customers to easily add D-Link products to federal and state contracts. Included in the product line-up are D-Link's full lines of TAA-compliant networking solutions, including the energy efficient Green switches.

D-Link® Green Ethernet™ technology integrates the innovative power-saving feature that automatically detects link status along with cable length and adjusts power accordingly. Incorporating the new energy-saving technology are the D-Link Web Smart 16-Port (DGS-1216T), the 24-Port (DGS-1224T) and the 48-Port (DGS-1248T) network switches.

"We're pleased to extend our reach in the government market," said Keith A. Karlsen, executive vice president for D-Link Systems, Inc. "As an approved supplier for the Tech Data TechEDG Program, we can have our most sought-after TAA products listed on various government contracts, making acquisition easy for procurement officers."

"Tech Data supports public sector information technology (IT) resellers through our TechEDG government and education services team," said Barb Miller, Tech Data vice president of government, technical and integration services. "By providing Tech Data with this letter of supply, D-Link gives resellers greater flexibility and more options as they bid on and pursue the demand for networking solutions in the government market."
