D-Link Hires Nick Tidd, Former 3Com Executive, to Lead Canadian Business Sales

He Also Will Assist in Development of Overall North American Business-Class Solution Sales

OAKVILLE, ON--(Marketwire - August 18, 2008) - D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, today announced the hiring of Nick Tidd, former managing director of 3Com Canada, as general manager of business solutions for D-Link Canada. With more than 20 years of corporate sales experience, he also will play a major role in developing overall business sales strategies as vice president of North American channel development.

Tidd had been with 3Com Canada since it acquired U.S. Robotics in 1997, and also held the position of vice president of the marketing, distribution and consumer business units. His previous experience includes senior positions with SRT, Antares Electronics and asap Computer Products. He arrived at U.S. Robotics as part of the company's acquisition of Megahertz Corporation in 1996 where he founded its Canadian operations.

In addition to his role as a board member for various Canadian companies, he serves on the advisory board of Networld + Interop, helping to develop technology innovations and solutions, and on the Blueroads Channel Advisory Council.

Tidd, who attended Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, was named to VARBusiness Magazine's Top 75 Channel Executives last year.
