Dachis Group Acquires Archrival

Acquisition Provides Expertise in Youth-Centric Social Marketing Services and Increases Facebook Preferred Developer Capabilities

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - November 17, 2010) - Dachis Group, the world's largest Social Business consultancy, announced today the acquisition of Archrival, an award-winning social youth marketing consultancy and Facebook Preferred Developer. The acquisition provides crucial insight and expertise to an important demographic for Dachis Group clients, and significantly bolsters the company's Facebook Preferred Developer capabilities.

Archrival specializes in youth-oriented marketing services including social, mobile and digital strategy; Facebook, mobile and digital development; social content creation; branding; user experience design; and interactive marketing. Archrival's clients include foursquare, Red Bull, State Farm, ESPN, Pabst Brewing Company and HP.

The acquisition extends Dachis Group's Social Business Engagement execution capabilities, allowing large companies the ability to target and engage the influential youth market across integrated social platforms, mobile platforms, and digital marketing platforms. The transaction also extends the company's ability to execute engagement strategies using Facebook Pages, Facebook Applications, and Facebook Connect integrations for global clients.

"Our deep expertise in understanding and connecting with the youth market, a relentless focus on creative and technical excellence in social, mobile and digital marketing, and a passion for our clients' success have been key drivers for Archrival," said Charles Hull, Co-Founder and CEO, Archrival. "Dachis Group's Social Business practice areas and global reach allow us to provide a more strategic offering to our clients, making our efforts even more impactful."

"We've always advised our clients to see the strategic big picture when engaging and interacting with the youth market, but most companies aren't prepared to actually connect and communicate with youth culture. They are used to marketing at consumers instead of engaging with consumers," said Clint Runge, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Archrival. "Beyond advertising, Dachis Group's Social Business Design is the right approach to connect the social, mobile and digital tools of engagement with the business process and workflow needed to make them effective. The combination provides us the right mix of talent, services, technology, scale and global reach our clients are asking for."

"Millennials are driving incredible changes in the marketplace through fanatical use of social platforms like Facebook, Twitter and foursquare; mobile computing as a primary mode to connect and share; and dramatic shifts in media consumption habits moving online," said Jeffrey Dachis, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dachis Group. "Archrival's focus on social, mobile and digital strategy will help provide insight to this rapidly changing market dynamic, and increase our ability to understand and effectively engage this extremely valuable consumer segment to the benefit of our clients."

The acquisition expands the international firm to approximately 150 professionals in nine cities and five countries worldwide.

Dachis Group continues to grow to best serve their global client base and will integrate Archrival into the company's Social Business Customer Engagement offering effective immediately. This continues the growth of the international firm with offices serving clients in the North American, European and Asia/Pacific regions. The combined company has offices in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Madrid, Spain; London, England; Sydney, Australia; Lincoln, Nebraska; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Portland, Oregon and St. Louis, Missouri, with its headquarters in Austin, Texas.
