Dachis Group Announces Peter Kim Promoted to Chief Strategy Officer

Industry Veteran Jen van der Meer Promoted to Managing Director of Dachis Group

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - Dachis Group, the world's largest Social Business consultancy, announced today the promotion of Peter Kim to Chief Strategy Officer and Jen van der Meer to Managing Director, emphasizing the company's commitment to build and maintain a strong and dynamic management team as Dachis Group continues to expand globally.

Peter Kim has worked with dozens of Dachis Group clients to formulate and implement strategy. He is recognized as a leading thinker on Social Business, which he discusses on the Dachis Group Collaboratory and his blog, Being Peter Kim. As a public speaker, Peter also drives global industry discourse, participating in events including SXSW, Web 2.0 Expo, and the Dachis Group Social Business Summits.

Prior to joining Dachis Group, Peter was an analyst at Forrester Research, focusing on the intersection of social technology and marketing strategy while winning awards for best research and top keynote. Earlier at PUMA AG, he managed international marketing operations, e-commerce, and digital marketing. Peter holds an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

About Jen van der Meer

Jen van der Meer is a strategist focused on developing sustainable relationships between people, products and brands. A former Wall Street analyst and economist, Jen has held executive management roles at Organic and Frog Design. She has provided brand strategy, research, product design consulting, and technology marketing strategy to clients such as MTV, Chase, Nextel, Interface Inc., Disney, and GE.

Jen joins Dachis Group from Drillteam, an online social marketing company recently acquired by Dachis Group as part of the company's strategy to build and grow through targeted acquisitions. At Drillteam, Jen served as lead strategist, and conducted research and brand engagement plans for Toyota, Nestlé, Saucony, Neiman Marcus, and Target.

In addition to serving on the board of the Designers Accord, she writes and speaks on the topic of Social Business and sustainable design, and is an Adjunct Professor at NYU's ITP School. Jen holds a BA in comparative religion from Trinity College, and an MBA from HEC in France.
