DACOR Enters Cookware Market With "Hot" New Idea

DIAMOND BAR, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 11, 2005 -- DACOR®, a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-end kitchen appliances, today announced the availability of the new Signature Gourmet Cookware Collection featuring "Hot Dots" for improved cooking.

The aluminum "Hot Dots" appear as small, circular indentations on the cookware's stainless steel bottom. The dots are a new feature, offered only from DACOR, designed to balance the beauty of stainless and the need for performance. Although valued for a polished appearance that coordinates with popular high-end appliances, stainless steel cookware traditionally heats more slowly than aluminum or copper.

To thwart this natural property, aluminum disks are often used as a core in stainless steel cookware. While aluminum disks do improve heat conduction properties, DACOR's new SG Collection takes it a step further with the new "Hot Dots" technology. The dots transfer heat directly from the flame or cooktop heat source to the aluminum core. This increases heat conduction speeds throughout the pan and results in improved cooking times.

"The Signature Gourmet Cookware Collection is yet another way DACOR can maximize your time in the kitchen with a product that offers high performance and aesthetic appeal," said Larry Lamkins, assistant vice president of marketing for DACOR.

Additional SG Collection features include:

-- High-quality 18/10 stainless steel composition for the most hygienic
    cooking surface available
-- Durable stainless steel interior and exterior is non-porous, non-
    reactive and easy to maintain
-- Handles designed to stay cool and offer ergonomic comfort
-- Fitted lids deliver a precision seal
-- Lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship in materials

The SG Collection is available as a set at authorized appliance dealers across the nation. The collection is comprised of: a 1.75 quart sauce pan; a 3.0 quart sauce pan; a 3.5 quart saucier; a 9.5 inch skillet; and three matching stainless steel lids. SG Collection cookware is safe for use on gas, electric, and induction cooktops. All pots and pans are also oven and dishwasher safe.
