Dacula Veterinarian Announces New Website to Better Serve Pet Owners

DACULA, GA--(Marketwire - Mar 6, 2012) - Apalachee Ridge Animal Hospital in Dacula, GA announced that the practice has launched a new website to boost communication with pet owners. The new website, http://www.mygavet-arah.com/, features educational resources, such as a veterinary topics library, to help pet owners learn more about at-home wellness care, training tips, and how to recognize the signs of illness in pets. The practice is part of the Georgia Veterinary Associates family of facilities, providing wellness and surgical pet care for the Auburn, Grayson and Winder communities.

Dacula veterinarian Dr. Mike Wanchick announced that the veterinary hospital Apalachee Ridge Animal Hospital has launched a new website. The website is designed to strengthen communication with pet owners and expand access to accurate and reliable veterinary care information.

"As a Dacula veterinarian, my primary goal is to keep all pets healthy and active for life," said Dr. Wanchick. "Preventive wellness care is essential to achieving this goal. Our new website naturally complements this mission by educating pet owners about the importance of at-home care, including how to recognize the signs of illness in their pets."

The new website features a "Veterinary Topics" library with information on wellness care, a Vetopedia, and video newsroom. The Vetopedia includes a brief explanation of common veterinary terms and pet illnesses, so pet owners can understand common terms for surgical care, pet dental care, and diagnostic tests.

The video newsroom includes short videos on different wellness care techniques, such as a demonstration on the best way to brush a reluctant dog's teeth. There are also tips for training pets and the best ways to welcome new pets into the family.

"A pet health emergency can happen any time of the day or night," said Dr. Wanchick. "Even if a pet does not require urgent care, determining the cause of a health or behavioral problem is important. Our website serves as a trusted, reliable source for the latest veterinary health information. Pet owners can turn to our website, 24-hours a day, for answers to their urgent questions."

The new website also features a blog, where pet owners can post questions for Dr. Wanchick or discuss different blog topics. These topics range from pet dental tips to seasonal care recommendations.

Information on veterinary hospital's comprehensive wellness care services, including vaccinations, annual exams, pet dental care, pet grooming and bathing, and pet nutritional counseling is also available on the website.

Apalachee Ridge Animal Hospital is part of the Georgia Veterinary Associates family of facilities. The veterinary hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Pet owners who wish to schedule a veterinary appointment may do so by using the online appointment request form.
